Who we are

At Tutoring Children with Learning Differences, we focus on creating individualized learning curriculums to help our students progress and succeed with their academic needs. We serve students who need academic support and customize a curriculum to enhance their education in math, writing, reading fluency, and comprehension.

Our students’ interests and way of learning is incorporated for visual, tactile, kinesthetic, and audio learners. Mathematical manipulatives, such as bead bars for mathematical operations, charts, and many hands on materials are used to reinforce understanding and to give another dimension to learning various concepts.

Tutoring sessions are available for students online or in person. Our programs are available for pre-k to high school and are geared towards students who may need more specialized accommodations.

We service general education students and students with learning differences such as dyscalculia, dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism, down syndrome, ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages), cerebral palsy, speech, language, and more.

Our mission is to create a learning environment and curriculum that prioritizes each child’s educational interest and the way he or she learns best. Therefore, making each child feel confident about themselves and excited to learn.

Why us?

The core of our methodology is to teach information to our students in a way they learn and have fun while doing so. We focus on using appropriate materials and presenting the information in various ways that makes learning easier.

What is our approach?

Our approach involves discovering the missing pieces of our students’ knowledge and filling in the gaps. We focus on meeting their needs and building on their interests. we give them a strong foundation on which to build on. We do not move on until the student(s) grasp the lesson. In doing so, we discover the techniques and rate he/she/they is (are) able to obtain the knowledge at hand. This approach makes learning fun, engaging, and rewarding. Your child will have outstanding gains in academics as well as a flourishing self-esteem.  

Why is school not enough?

The average student teacher ratio 18:1. Teachers today aren’t equipped with insufficient amount of time to individualize learning for each child. In addition, the curriculum is generalized and not suited to accommodate every student.
